INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION

Sense Me exhibition
Trapholt Museum, Denmark

Design of a taste-changing typographic jellybean interaction and a personality installation for the internationally acclaimed Sense Me exhibition. The jellybean interaction was based on the study co-published by Sarah Hyndman and Professor Charles Spence of the University of Oxford. Participants ate jellybeans while looking through two viewers where they saw the same words in different shaped typefaces. They then rated how the jellybean tasted while looking at each by placing a counter in one of three containers. The results demonstrated that the typeface shape influenced the taste experience for many people.

Sarah Hyndman also performed a multisensory Prosecco tasting featuring sound, animation and typography at the launch event.
